TOTP Generator

Generate RFC 6238 two-factor codes entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves this page.

Your secret stays on this device. Codes are computed in your browser with crypto.subtle — no network calls, no telemetry, no storage. Close the tab and everything is gone.

Timestamps are UTC in 1-hour windows so you can eyeball drift. Only the current code is safe to share.

What Is TOTP Generator?

The TOTP Generator runs RFC 6238 in your browser using Web Crypto, so your Base32 secret never leaves the tab. Paste a secret or click Generate secret for a fresh 160-bit value, choose 6 to 8 digits and a 30 or 60 second period, and watch the rolling code with a countdown ring. Every page load re-verifies the algorithm against the published RFC 6238 vectors for SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 and reports the result. The otpauth:// URI, ready to paste into an authenticator, is built locally from the label and issuer you type.

Who Uses the TOTP Generator?

Developers testing a two-factor flow, security students reading RFC 6238, and anyone who wants to inspect a shared secret offline without installing an authenticator app.

How to Use the TOTP Generator

  1. Paste your Base32 secret or press Generate secret to create one locally.
  2. Set digits, period and algorithm, and read the current code with the countdown ring.
  3. Copy the otpauth:// URI to register the account, or run the self-test to confirm the engine.

Why Choose Our TOTP Generator?

  • Secret stays in the page; no uploads, no sync, no network
  • RFC 6238 Appendix B self-test proves the SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 paths
  • Six upcoming codes with UTC timestamps so you can pre-check the next window
