What Is Online Notepad?
The Online Notepad keeps several plain-text notes in your browser using localStorage, on this device and nowhere else. Create, rename, switch and delete notes; each edit autosaves after a short pause and stamps a saved time. A status bar counts words, characters and lines as you type, you can import a .txt file as a new note, and download any note back as .txt. Comfort toggles flip between monospace and serif, a narrow or full measure, and light or dark paper. There is no account and no sync, so a device change or cleared browsing data removes the notes.
Who Uses the Online Notepad?
Students jotting quick notes, writers drafting offline, and anyone who wants a scratch pad that never sends anything to a server.
