Voice Recorder

Record microphone audio right in the browser, with a live level meter, playback and per-take downloads.

00:00

Live input level — keep the bar mostly green so your voice stays clear without clipping.

Playback

Nothing recorded yet in this session.

Everything is stored in this tab only — no audio is uploaded anywhere, and closing or reloading the page discards every take. Downloads are saved in whichever container your browser actually recorded (usually WebM/Opus, MP4 where WebM is unavailable).

What Is Voice Recorder?

The Voice Recorder captures microphone audio through the native MediaRecorder engine of the browser and keeps every take inside the tab, so nothing is ever uploaded to a server. Pressing Start triggers the permission prompt, and denial, a missing microphone or an unsupported browser each get a distinct plain message. While you record, the elapsed clock ticks up and a live level meter drawn from an AnalyserNode shows input peaks so you avoid clipping. Pause and resume between sentences, then play or download each take in the container your browser produced.

Who Uses the Voice Recorder?

Students, podcasters and anyone jotting quick spoken notes use it to capture clean audio without installing or signing up for anything.

How to Use the Voice Recorder

  1. Press Start and grant microphone access when the browser asks.
  2. Watch the level meter stay green, use Pause and Resume around mistakes, then press Stop.
  3. Play the take from the session table and hit Download to save it as WebM or MP4.

Why Choose Our Voice Recorder?

  • Audio never leaves the browser and dies with the tab
  • Live input meter and elapsed clock while you record
  • Extension is derived from the container MediaRecorder chose
